About Me

Myself:

Erin Topp, CPDT-KA is the owner of Topp Canine Solutions, LLC in Ames, IA (check us out on Facebook!) and the voice behind The Five Dog Blog. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and an active member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. Committed to providing the most effective, convenient solutions to her clients’ dog training needs, Erin avidly pursues ongoing continuing education and professional development by attending several seminars per year and keeping current on all industry literature. She is also an AKC approved Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, President of the Cyclone Country Kennel Club, and Superintendent of the local 4H dog project. To help other dogs get a second change, Erin volunteers for the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and is a foster home for Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus.

Life with dogs can be immensely rewarding, we all know that. Life with five dogs however, can take it all over the top! Between mischievous antics, vet runs, food runs, and mountains of exercise (not to mention laundry!) I somehow, someway manage to to find a life. Granted it revolves around these dogs - and why shouldn't it? They deserve it! :)

You'll notice there are only four dogs pictured - sadly I lost Baron in November 2013 to advanced Wobbler's Disease. But never-fear we are still fostering so the revolving foster dog will equal five! :)
